Position

The holiday home is in a wonderful, secluded location, very sunny, on the edge of the forest and directly on the banks of the Salza. The mountain river is usually very shallow and the gravel banks opposite make it ideal for children to play and splash around! You can walk upstream and let yourself drift to the house - what fun in the cool water!

Distances

Mariazell pilgrimage site with its famous basilica 4km away. Farm shop 1km away. The hiking trail goes right past the hut. Excursions to the Ötschergräben, the Gemeindealpe or Bürgeralpe and the picturesque Erlaufsee 4km away are particularly popular. The area is ideal for hikers and ambitious mountaineers. Opposite the hut there is a sandbank, lots of meadows and swimming in the river. Fishing opportunities 4km away at the Erlaufsee (fishing license for a fee).

The hut is located in a forest clearing, about 6 km after Rettenegg in a wonderful, secluded location. A small stream flows next to it. The last 2 km are on a well-maintained forest road, which ends at the hut.

Distances

Rettenegg with guest houses, indoor swimming pool (summer only), supermarket, shops 6km. Stuhleck or Semmering ski areas 20km each. Ideal starting point for hikes to Hochwechsel, Stuhleck, Pretul or directly to the town of Rettenegg.

Next town with shops is Stein an der Enns 8km, managed alpine pastures where you can get butter, cheese, bread (around June - September) from 1 hour walk from the hut! The hut is located in Styria, at the foot of the Lachtal valley, on a 3ha alpine meadow, with a large fish pond (high season), isolated.

Distances

The Lachtal ski area can be reached on skis via the ski route (1km) when there is enough snow, otherwise 1km by car. Shops and restaurants 1km during the season, otherwise about 15km to Oberwölz, cross-country ski trail in the immediate vicinity, toboggan run 2km, swimming lake 5km. Healing tunnel for asthma sufferers 15km. In summer, the Lachtal delights with its pleasant altitude, the vastness of the hiking area and routes for every hiking desire. Here, surrounded by the Nockberge mountains, nestled in the border triangle of Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia, you can really switch off. In summer it can be reached by car, in winter the hut can be reached up to 500m via a footpath along the cross-country ski trail.

Position

In a wonderful, secluded location, in the picturesque Hollersbachtal, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the west of Salzburg. As a tenant, you are allowed to drive into the valley in your own car, and visitors can hike from the beginning of the valley from the inn at the reservoir along the interesting stream educational trail to the managed alpine pastures. 

Distances

Hollersbach town with shop, restaurants 6km. Serviced hut where you can fortify yourself with an alpine snack 500m. (E-bike charging station). Around mid-May - early September the cows are on the mountain pastures, they come to the barn in the morning and evening to be milked, which is located diagonally below the hut. Then the farmer is happy to deliver fresh rolls, milk, eggs, butter or bacon in the morning! While the cows are being milked, you can charge batteries (generator). A stream meanders through the wide Tauern valley, the path is not steep and therefore ideal for cyclists. There are also challenging hiking trails from the hut to the largest mountain lake in the Hohe Tauern, the Kratzenbergsee. Lakeside inn 6km. The panorama cable car runs from Hollersbach! You can cycle from the hut through the valley directly to the valley station 7.5km away and float in just 12 minutes at an altitude of 1892m to the Kitzbühel area! Hollersbach bathing lake with large playground 6km, Zell am See 35km, Krimml Waterfalls 30km. You can also fish in the reservoir (map available on site)
