Position

In a wonderful, secluded location, in the picturesque Hollersbachtal, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the west of Salzburg. As a tenant, you are allowed to drive into the valley in your own car, and visitors can hike from the beginning of the valley from the inn at the reservoir along the interesting stream educational trail to the managed alpine pastures. 

Distances

Hollersbach town with shop, restaurants 6km. Serviced hut where you can fortify yourself with an alpine snack 500m. (E-bike charging station). Around mid-May - early September the cows are on the mountain pastures, they come to the barn in the morning and evening to be milked, which is located diagonally below the hut. Then the farmer is happy to deliver fresh rolls, milk, eggs, butter or bacon in the morning! While the cows are being milked, you can charge batteries (generator). A stream meanders through the wide Tauern valley, the path is not steep and therefore ideal for cyclists. There are also challenging hiking trails from the hut to the largest mountain lake in the Hohe Tauern, the Kratzenbergsee. Lakeside inn 6km. The panorama cable car runs from Hollersbach! You can cycle from the hut through the valley directly to the valley station 7.5km away and float in just 12 minutes at an altitude of 1892m to the Kitzbühel area! Hollersbach bathing lake with large playground 6km, Zell am See 35km, Krimml Waterfalls 30km. You can also fish in the reservoir (map available on site)

Furnishing

The hut has on the ground floor: large entrance hall (ideal for bikes), hut room with seating area and wood stove, oven, gas stove (2 burners), gas refrigerator. Bathroom with tub and toilet. Hot water on the ground floor via boiler, which is heated with wood (enough once a day). First floor: 1 double room with couch if required, 1 double room that can be walked through to a room with double bed and bunk bed. All rooms have sinks (cold water). No electricity, gas light. In front of the house: seating area with a wonderful view of the valley and the impressive mountain walls, grill, fountain. 

Additional costs on site subject to minor changes

Local tax currently € 1.80/person/night. Final cleaning € 50. Pets € 35/week, bed linen € 7/towel € 3/set can be rented.
