Position

In a wonderful, secluded location, high up in the Wildkogel hiking area, at the end of the Mühlbach valley. The hut can be reached via a forest road. 

Distances

Bramberg town with shops 13km, serviced hut where you can buy milk, cheese, butter or drinks and also fortify yourself with an alpine snack, 3km. You can also charge your e-bike here. The area around the hut is ideal for hikers and cyclists! There are countless marked hiking trails or bike tours. Experienced mountaineers climb the 2,362m high Grosser Rettenstein from the hut. Ibexes can also be spotted here!

Die Hütte wurde innen komplett neu ausgebaut und hat im EG: Hüttenstube mit Küchenzeile mit Abwasch, Holzherd, Backofen und Sitzecke. Stube mit Esstisch. Vorraum mit Couch. DG: 2 Doppelzimmer, 1 Vierbettzimmer, 1 WC. UG: 1 Vierbettzimmer mit Doppel- und Stockbett. DU/WC. Ausgang auf die Sonnenterrasse mit Sitzplatz, Griller und herrlicher Aussicht. Bitte in der Hütte nicht rauchen. Im Brunnen vor der Hütte kann man im „Naturkühlschrank“ die Lebensmittel kühlen. Solarstrom vorhanden. Warmwasser mit Badeofen, Heizung mit Holzofen. Hinter der Hütte Stall, der von Juni-September von den Kühen auf der Alm benutzt wird. Neben der Hütte ist eine kleine Teichanlage vom Vermieter. Das darf man gerne besuchen, Wassertreten, Planschen oder auch schwimmen ist erlaubt!

The romantic holiday resort of Dienten is centrally located in the ski area of the Hochkönig region and is also the starting point for numerous ski tours, snowshoe hikes or cross-country skiing tours. Whether you are looking for adventure or peace and quiet, the traditional Hochkönig region around the towns of Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach offers around 340 kilometers of certified hiking trails, countless kilometers of e-bike or mountain bike routes. The hut is located on the Gstoder, in the idyllic Seetal, in the middle of the alpine pastures, in wonderful peace and quiet, with a wonderful view! Access via a 5km long forest path that ends at the hut. Please do not drive from 5pm in the evening until nightfall (resting time for the wildlife)!

50m above there is a mountain hut where you can enjoy a mountain snack from around mid-June to mid-September. The nearest town is Tamsweg 17km away, Prebersee 26km away, fishing is possible at Seetaler See 5km away. Hiking trails directly from the hut to the 2,241m high summit. Ski areas St. Margarethen, Mauterndorf, Fanningberg each 30km away. Ski tours on the Gstoder from the hut!

The 200-year-old hut has been completely renovated and lovingly furnished. Entrance hall with wood stove, oven. Here you cook and heat the water that you get from the well in front of the hut. The hut is in a wonderful, secluded location and is in absolute silence, with a wide view, about 2 km above Lake Preber. It can be reached via a 1.5 km long forest road (in winter with four-wheel drive/chains).

Distances

The 5.5 hectare Prebersee, a paradise for anglers, is 2km away, very nice circular hiking trail around the lake, start of the mountain bike Preber tour from the hut! Serviced hut on the lake with local cuisine 2km, in summer many alpine pastures are also serviced. Next big town Tamsweg 11km. Speiereck ski area 20km.

The alpine hut is located together with a few temporarily inhabited huts above the municipality of Maria Alm, in the middle of an alpine area. Situated on a plateau, you have a fantastic view of the Steinernes Meer and Hochkönig mountain ranges. The alpine hut can be reached directly via a 5km long farm track (gravel road). 

Distances

Maria Alm 8 km. There are grocery stores, restaurants and various leisure activities. For a leisurely shopping trip, Saalfelden is recommended at 13 km. The nearest inn is 5 km away. Swimming pool and tennis courts are around 9 km away, golf is 10 km away. The alpine hut is an ideal starting point for hiking the grassy mountains around the Hundstein or the Steinernes Meer. There are also great tours for mountain bikers in the area around Maria Alm.

Ground floor: The heart of the hut is the spacious living room, which offers space for cooking and baking together on the wood or gas stove, as well as for eating and getting together. The shower (hot water via gas instantaneous water heater) and the 2nd toilet are accessible from the side through a separate entrance. Cool cellar for groceries.
