Position

The hut is located in the middle of the Loferer Alm, right in the ski and hiking area. In summer it can be reached by car (1x toll), in winter via the gondola and a 5-minute walk uphill from the mountain station. If required, the landlord will bring your luggage from the valley station to the hut.

Lofer town for shopping 7km, ski area right in front of the hut, high-altitude cross-country skiing trail in front of the hut, hiking trails from the hut, serviced huts within walking distance. The Loferer Alm offers wonderful refreshment in summer: 2 mountain lakes on the Alm invite you to cool off! Loferer Almsee 500m below. Tip: The waterfall path leads down to the middle station of the cable car and offers 12 tingling stations. You hike through shady forest and along roaring waterfalls and if you're too tired you can take the cable car back to the Alm! You can cycle to the Steinplatte and Winklmoosalm on a mountain bike or e-bike!

Neukirchen with swimming pool, tennis, bike rental, bathing lake 13km. Fishing 3km. Many hiking and mountain bike trails directly from the hut. The world-famous Krimml Waterfalls are 23km away. Things get really exciting on the 4km long mountain cart track in Bramberg 20km away. Kitzbühel Panoramabahn 25km away. The landlords have an inn 9km down where you can enjoy local specialties from organic farming!

Position

Directly on the ski slope, near the middle station of the gondola lift and in the middle of the Loferer Alm hiking area, isolated, with a wide panoramic view of the village and the surrounding mountains. In winter, the gondola lift takes you up to the house, which stops about 150m above the house - so it is also easily accessible for non-skiers. In summer, or depending on the snow conditions, the house can be reached directly by car.

Ski slope directly from the house. Mountain restaurant 100m above. Beautiful hiking trails, waterfall path, circular hiking trails, some of which are also easy to do with a stroller, directly from the house. The location is also ideal for cyclists! The hut is completely isolated, in absolute peace and quiet, in the middle of the Salzburger Lungau Biosphere Park, in the beautiful Schönfeld high valley. Here, surrounded by the Nockberge mountains, nestled in the border triangle of Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia, you can really switch off. In summer it can be reached by car, in winter the hut can be reached up to 500m via a footpath along the cross-country ski trail.

In winter, Schönfeld is a real natural snow paradise thanks to its sunny location! The lift 1km away is ideal for children! The 20km long, perfectly groomed high-altitude cross-country ski trail runs right past the hut! The snowy landscape is wonderful for walking or for ski tourers. Distances

Next town Ramingstein 12km. Above the town rises Finstergrün Castle, the landmark of Ramingstein and a witness to past eras. Swimming pool 20km, tennis 20km, golf 26km. From the hut, extensive hikes and mountain bike tours around the local mountain Königstuhl and through the untouched nature of the Lungau. Managed Niggeialm 2km.

The rustic alpine hut has on the ground floor: a living room with a seating area, tiled stove, couch. Kitchenette with a wood stove and oven. Here you heat the water that you get from the well. 1 twin bedroom. First floor: There is a bedroom on the left and right under the roof. The hut is located between Unken and Lofer, on the Unkenberg on the Tyrolean side. Here you can get to the hut by car on a forest road with an authorization card (ticket € 10/car/stay). It is in a sunny, absolutely quiet, secluded location. There are also small calves on the mountain pasture that graze on the surrounding meadows.

Nearest town Unken 8km, Lofer 13km, the picturesque Heutal 14km. Managed alpine pasture 3.4km and about 1 hour's walk. The hut is ideal for trips to the nearby Loferer Alm. In addition to many managed alpine pastures, there is an adventure playground, via ferrata, waterfall path and crystal-clear mountain lakes. From the hut you can hike or cycle to gorges, caves and alpine pastures by mountain bike. Bad Reichenhall thermal baths 25km, mountain bike rental 7km. The hut is located in Kolm Saigurn, in a wonderful, secluded location, surrounded by meadows through which the Hüttwinklache flows, foaming and bubbling. The hut can be reached from Rauris via a toll road (weekly ticket approx. €7 per car), through one of the most beautiful mountain forests with ancient Swiss stone pines and spruces.

Distances

The Hohe Tauern National Park, the immediate vicinity of the Großglockner or Sonnblick, many managed alpine pastures are ideal for hikers, the Rauris Valley is perfect for biking! Circular hiking trail from the hut! The nearest town is Rauris, 20km. 50m above there is a managed alpine pasture, about 400m opposite there is a nature lovers' house where you can stop for a break.

There are countless marked hiking trails or bike tours. Experienced mountaineers climb the 2,362m high Grosser Rettenstein from the hut. Ibexes can also be spotted here!

Hinter der Hütte Stall, der von Juni-September von den Kühen auf der Alm benutzt wird. Neben der Hütte ist eine kleine Teichanlage vom Vermieter.
