Position

This hut is located about 4 km from the town of Donnersbachwald, a romantic mountain village with many leisure activities in both winter and summer. Below the hut is a rarely inhabited farmhouse, otherwise a quiet, secluded location. Behind the hut is an alpine pasture with cows and calves.

The Riesneralm ski area with 30km of groomed slopes, snow park, ski school and ski kindergarten is 4km away. The Riesneralm is an insider tip for families. 5ha of slopes and 5 slopes just for children! Modern snowmaking systems, a race track and the extensive free-ride area round off the offer. Hiking trails directly from the hut. In summer, take the Riesneralm cable car to visit the new summit adventure pool with an infinity pool at 1,900 meters! Come on a treasure hunt up to the summit plateau, where a high seas seat with a raft and a barefoot path await.

Position

In a completely secluded location, on a sunny slope, about 3km above the town of Viehhofen, in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area. In summer there are sheep and horses on the mountain pasture. Access via a 3km long, asphalt road (in winter chains) up to 300m to the Hecherhütte, then a gravel road to the hut. The hut is 300m from the slope to Viehhofen. You ski from the hut down the slope (piste no. 68/Hecherhütte) to the town, from there a ski bus connection to the lifts (approx. 5km).

You are in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski circus! Village of Viehhofen 3.5km, ski school 3.5km. Saalbach 12km, serviced hut with summer swimming pool 300m, toboggan run 8km. Cross-country ski trail 5km. Mountain bike routes and long hiking trails from the hut! Zell am See 12km.

The hut is in a very quiet location, in the middle of the ski and hiking area on the Loferer Alm. In summer it can be reached by car (1x toll), in winter it can be reached via lifts and on skis or 10 minutes on foot from the mountain station of the gondola. (Luggage transport with the hut owner)

The rustic hut has been completely renovated inside and extended with the new building at the back. Our new chalet is located in front of the farm, on a sunny slope, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park and not far from the Kitzbühel Alps region. Enjoy the wonderful, wide view of the upper Salzach Valley and the town of Hollersbach. It is only about 600m downhill to the Panoramabahn: the entry point to the top skiing and hiking area of Kitzbühel. The national park offers an endless number of excursion destinations, hiking and biking trails.

Hollersbach town with shops and restaurants 1.5km. Mittersill 6km. Gondola station of the Panoramabahn ski area Kitzbühel 600m below. In just 12 minutes you can float at an altitude of 1892m to 179km of slopes, a snow park and over 60 restaurants and huts! In winter, the hut can be reached via a toll road up to 200m away. As of 2024: Winter from Strobl € 10.00/person € 5.00/child or from Abtenau € 17.00/car. Summer from Strobl € 17.00 per car or from Abtenau € 13.00/car. In winter: the toll is refunded when you buy a lift ticket. In summer, you can drive the last 200m to the hut on a forest path.

Nearest town Abtenau 15km or Strobl on Lake Wolfgangsee 15km. Postalm ski area with ski school, fun park, ski rental, high-altitude trails (up to 15km long!), 8 lifts and 20km of groomed slopes within 2km. Leave your car behind: free ski bus service on site! The Postalm is particularly popular with families, and is also ideal for cross-country skiers and ski tourers! In summer, there are circular hiking trails, the via ferrata in the Postalm Gorge, mountain bike tours, swimming under the waterfall or trips to one of the numerous managed huts and to the nearby Salzkammergut. The hut is located in Kolm Saigurn, in a wonderful, secluded location, surrounded by meadows through which the Hüttwinklache flows, foaming and bubbling. The hut can be reached from Rauris via a toll road (weekly ticket approx. €7 per car), through one of the most beautiful mountain forests with ancient Swiss stone pines and spruces.

Distances

The Hohe Tauern National Park, the immediate vicinity of the Großglockner or Sonnblick, many managed alpine pastures are ideal for hikers, the Rauris Valley is perfect for biking! Circular hiking trail from the hut! The nearest town is Rauris, 20km. 50m above there is a managed alpine pasture, about 400m opposite there is a nature lovers' house where you can stop for a break.

In a wonderful, secluded location, high up in the Wildkogel hiking area, at the end of the Mühlbach valley. The hut can be reached via a forest road. 

Distances

Bramberg town with shops 13km, serviced hut where you can buy milk, cheese, butter or drinks and also fortify yourself with an alpine snack, 3km. You can also charge your e-bike here. The area around the hut is ideal for hikers and cyclists! There are countless marked hiking trails or bike tours. Experienced mountaineers climb the 2,362m high Grosser Rettenstein from the hut. Ibexes can also be spotted here!

Furnishing

Die Hütte wurde innen komplett neu ausgebaut und hat im EG: Hüttenstube mit Küchenzeile mit Abwasch, Holzherd, Backofen und Sitzecke. Stube mit Esstisch. Vorraum mit Couch. DG: 2 Doppelzimmer, 1 Vierbettzimmer, 1 WC. UG: 1 Vierbettzimmer mit Doppel- und Stockbett. DU/WC. Ausgang auf die Sonnenterrasse mit Sitzplatz, Griller und herrlicher Aussicht. Bitte in der Hütte nicht rauchen. Im Brunnen vor der Hütte kann man im „Naturkühlschrank“ die Lebensmittel kühlen. Solarstrom vorhanden. Warmwasser mit Badeofen, Heizung mit Holzofen. Hinter der Hütte Stall, der von Juni-September von den Kühen auf der Alm benutzt wird. Neben der Hütte ist eine kleine Teichanlage vom Vermieter. Das darf man gerne besuchen, Wassertreten, Planschen oder auch schwimmen ist erlaubt!
