Position

In a completely secluded location, on a sunny slope, about 3km above the town of Viehhofen, in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area. In summer there are sheep and horses on the mountain pasture. Access via a 3km long, asphalt road (in winter chains) up to 300m to the Hecherhütte, then a gravel road to the hut. The hut is 300m from the slope to Viehhofen. You ski from the hut down the slope (piste no. 68/Hecherhütte) to the town, from there a ski bus connection to the lifts (approx. 5km).

You are in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski circus! Village of Viehhofen 3.5km, ski school 3.5km. Saalbach 12km, serviced hut with summer swimming pool 300m, toboggan run 8km. Cross-country ski trail 5km. Mountain bike routes and long hiking trails from the hut! Zell am See 12km.

The hut was built by the hut owner himself with a lot of personal effort. Position

Directly on the ski slope, near the middle station of the gondola lift and in the middle of the Loferer Alm hiking area, isolated, with a wide panoramic view of the village and the surrounding mountains. In winter, the gondola lift takes you up to the house, which stops about 150m above the house - so it is also easily accessible for non-skiers. In summer, or depending on the snow conditions, the house can be reached directly by car.

Distances

Ski slope directly from the house. Mountain restaurant 100m above. Beautiful hiking trails, waterfall path, circular hiking trails, some of which are also easy to do with a stroller, directly from the house. The location is also ideal for cyclists! Loferer Alm adventure playground 3km. Town of Lofer with shops and restaurants 3km away.

Position

The hut is completely isolated, in absolute peace and quiet, in the middle of the Salzburger Lungau Biosphere Park, in the beautiful Schönfeld high valley. Here, surrounded by the Nockberge mountains, nestled in the border triangle of Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia, you can really switch off. In summer it can be reached by car, in winter the hut can be reached up to 500m via a footpath along the cross-country ski trail.

In winter, Schönfeld is a real natural snow paradise thanks to its sunny location! The lift 1km away is ideal for children! The 20km long, perfectly groomed high-altitude cross-country ski trail runs right past the hut! The snowy landscape is wonderful for walking or for ski tourers. Innerkrems ski area 5km, St. Margarethen 17km. In summer, the high valley offers numerous hiking trails and is also an Eldorado for mountain bikers! Mountain lakes, managed shelters and mountain huts invite you to go on adventure hikes! The hut is only about 70m from the mountain station of the gondola lift and is therefore also ideal for non-skiers and small children! It is easy to get there with a stroller or sled. Countless hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Hike along the Pleißlingbach towards the Südwiener Hütte (1802m) and further to the Pleißlingkeil (2501m). Restaurant and alpine inn 2km, managed alpine pasture 200m above. Next town Flachau 9km. The new cable car connection Kaprun-Maiskogel-Kitzsteinhorn takes you directly to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area in 9 km.
