Position

The hut is located in the middle of the top skiing and hiking area of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, about 2 km above the town of Lengau, on a sunny slope, with a wonderful view. The hut can be reached by car all year round via a forest road. In winter, the snow is cleared on the Saturday of arrival/departure (snow chains are still needed!), and only occasionally during the week. There is a garage for 2-3 cars. In winter, the hut can also be reached via the lifts (gondola and chair lift) or on foot (approx. 30 minutes uphill from the middle station). 

Distances

Ski slope right outside the door! Serviced hut 350m in winter, 1km in summer. Ski school in Hinterglemm. Cross-country ski trail in the village. Shops and restaurants in the village 2km away. Large pond for splashing just 1km below. In summer, wonderful hikes and mountain bike routes from the hut. Own above-ground pool for splashing (diameter approx. 5m/height 1.2m) under the hut.

This great alpine hut has on the ground floor: a cozy living room with seating area, dining table, couch, satellite TV, kitchen corner with electric stove, oven, wood stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine and exit to the large sun terrace. 2 double rooms with satellite TV, bathroom with shower, toilet. About 500 m above the World Cup venue Schladming, right in the center of the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region and in the middle of the "Ski amadé" with the largest range of slopes and lifts in Austria (760 km of slopes and 270 lifts), there are 10 comfortable huts for up to 24 people (SKI-STM), 1 apartment on the first floor of the reception hut (APT-STM) for up to 12 people and 4 luxury chalets (SNO-STM, SNA-STM) on 22,000 m². On the ground floor of the reception hut there is a shop (open during peak season), where you can buy drinks, baked goods, bread rolls, pizzas, groceries or cigarettes. The huts are located in the middle of the Schladming Tauern with gentle green alpine valleys, fresh air, magnificent limestone walls of the glaciated Dachstein, countless peaks and 300 mountain lakes!

Position

The hut is in an absolutely idyllic location in the Styrian Sölktal, a side valley of the Ennstal. On the edge of the forest, by a stream, surrounded by meadows, forest and nature. There is a sparsely inhabited hut nearby, otherwise it is isolated. You can really relax here, there is no internet and cell phone reception only extends up to about 7km into the valley.

Distances

Next larger town Stein an der Enns 20km, Potzalm alpine pasture 3km. Hikes to the Schwarzensee, with some alpine pastures directly from the hut. The area is wonderful for mountain biking! Tip for sporty types: from the hut along the Tuchmoarbach, up to the Hohensee and over to St. Nikolai. There you get on the valley bus, which takes you back to the Kleinsölktal. The 4km route from the hut to the valley bus station is relatively flat, but you could also do it by car. In winter, four-wheel drive and chains are recommended!

Furnishing

The small hut has a large, comfortable room with a seating area, wood stove, oven, 1 double bed. Well and running water in front of the hut, lighting with kerosene lamps or candles, no electricity. Outhouse. In front of the hut there is a garden with seating and a barbecue area by the stream. Please bring your own bed linen/towels.

On an area of 24,000 m² there are seven comfortable large huts (type SEP-STM) for up to 24 people and six luxurious smaller huts (type SPA-STM) for up to 12 people, as well as a reception hut with an apartment (APA-STM) for up to 10 people on the upper floor and a shop on the ground floor (open during peak season) with bread roll service, drinks, baked goods, groceries, cigarettes. The huts are in a very quiet and sunny location on a high plateau with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains, the Ennstal and the Dachstein.

Distances

The huts are in the middle of the family-friendly Galsterberg ski and hiking area, 5km above the town of Pruggern. Accessible by car all year round. Pruggern is in the Ennstal, about 14km from Schladming and only 100km from the festival city of Salzburg. Village shop in Pruggern, supermarket 10km away. The Galsterberg ski area offers 20km of wide, perfectly groomed slopes and is part of the Schladming-Dachstein ski paradise with 86 cable cars and lifts and 152km of groomed slopes and is also a member of ski amadé (one ski pass for over 760km of slopes and 270 cable cars and lifts). Access to the Schladming-Dachstein ski paradise from Haus im Ennstal in 10km. The 5km long illuminated natural toboggan run (one of the longest in Austria) runs past the huts! Ski school with childcare 300m down the valley from the valley station, easily accessible on skis. Alpine hut near the gondola, après ski in winter, pizzeria in summer: Happyalm. Of course there is also the possibility of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides. Riding stables and tennis in the village. The cabins are built entirely from wood and are very comfortable and extremely cosy. Ground floor: Large cabin room (approx. 30m²) with upholstered seating area, satellite TV, WiFi, DVD/CD player, couch and fireplace. The indirect lighting and the chopped old wood create a homely atmosphere. Perfectly equipped kitchen corner with electric stove, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, beer tap (for those barrels that are available on site). High chair and cot (folding travel bed 60x120cm) available on request. Exit to the sun terrace with bench and grill. Bathroom with sauna, 2 showers and whirlpool. 1 toilet. First floor: 2 double rooms, 2 bedrooms for 2-4 people each with 1 double bed and pull-out couch (160x200cm), 2 shower/toilet, 1 toilet. Central heating, some with underfloor heating. The alpine hut is in a secluded location, at the foot of the Gritschenberg, on a sunny plateau, with a fantastic view of the local mountain Grimming and the upper Ennstal. Visit our tame ostriches in the enclosure behind the hut. Perhaps there are young chicks to admire? The largest birds on earth grow up to 3 m tall and feel very comfortable in our climatic conditions in summer and winter.

Niederöblarn 2.5 km, snack bar 2.5 km, Galsterberg ski area 19 km. The hut is in an ideal location: the Hauser Kaibling - Planai - Hochwurzen ski area (ski amadé) is 25 km away and can be easily reached by car in 20 minutes via a paved, cleared road. Tauplitzalm 16 km and can be reached in 15 minutes, Donnersbachwald 25 km. Grimming Therme Bad Mitterndorf 23 km. Golf 8 km. Putterer See 12 km. From the hut you can go on wonderful hikes or bike tours into the Ennstal or the beautiful side valleys with their countless hiking routes and managed alpine pastures.

The hut is located in Styria, at the foot of the Lachtal valley, on a 3ha alpine meadow, with a large fish pond (high season), isolated.

Distances

The Lachtal ski area can be reached on skis via the ski route (1km) when there is enough snow, otherwise 1km by car. Shops and restaurants 1km during the season, otherwise about 15km to Oberwölz, cross-country ski trail in the immediate vicinity, toboggan run 2km, swimming lake 5km. Healing tunnel for asthma sufferers 15km. In summer, the Lachtal delights with its pleasant altitude, the vastness of the hiking area and routes for every hiking desire. The Lachtal 6-seater chairlift takes you up to 2,000m above sea level. The mountain station is the ideal starting point for wonderful hikes, be it a summit tour or a ridge hike with a wonderful panoramic view.
