Position

The hut is in an absolutely idyllic location in the Styrian Sölktal, a side valley of the Ennstal. On the edge of the forest, by a stream, surrounded by meadows, forest and nature. There is a sparsely inhabited hut nearby, otherwise it is isolated. You can really relax here, there is no internet and cell phone reception only extends up to about 7km into the valley.

Distances

Next larger town Stein an der Enns 20km, Potzalm alpine pasture 3km. Hikes to the Schwarzensee, with some alpine pastures directly from the hut. The area is wonderful for mountain biking! Tip for sporty types: from the hut along the Tuchmoarbach, up to the Hohensee and over to St. Nikolai. There you get on the valley bus, which takes you back to the Kleinsölktal. The 4km route from the hut to the valley bus station is relatively flat, but you could also do it by car. In winter, four-wheel drive and chains are recommended!

Furnishing

The small hut has a large, comfortable room with a seating area, wood stove, oven, 1 double bed. Well and running water in front of the hut, lighting with kerosene lamps or candles, no electricity. Outhouse. In front of the hut there is a garden with seating and a barbecue area by the stream. Please bring your own bed linen/towels. 

Additional costs on site subject to minor changes

Local tax currently € 2.50/person/night, garbage fee € 15/week, wood € 30/week (winter € 80/week), final cleaning € 65, pet € 15. Bed linen/towels can be rented € 15/set.
