Position

Directly on the ski slope in the Loferer Alm ski area (46 km of slopes, high-altitude trails, fun park), isolated, completely quiet, above the village with a wonderful view. In summer accessible by car (1x toll), in winter via ski lift (gondola), luggage transport with the hut owner.

Distances

Skiing and hiking area in front of the hut, small umbrella bar (open during the day when skiing is in operation) 80m, if there is enough snow you can sled down into the valley, shopping in the village 4km, inn 1km. Tennis 4km. The Loferer Alm is 1km above and offers wonderful refreshment in summer: 2 mountain lakes on the Alm invite you to cool off! The waterfall path offers 12 sparkling stations and leads through shady forest and along roaring waterfalls up to the Alm.

The comfortable hut has on the ground floor: living room with seating area and cozy tiled stove and integrated kitchen with electric stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, wood stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine. Save waste: the hut has the best drinking water and a Sodastream device. 1 four-bed room, toilet. First floor: 3 double rooms (2 with balcony), 1 large four-bed room, toilet, shower. Basement: sauna with whirlpool, showers and relaxation room, toilet, pantry, freezer. Heating with tiled stove and electric, hot water boiler, satellite TV, radio. Wi-Fi (for a fee). To the side is a stable where the cows are milked in the mornings/evenings for around 3 weeks in spring and autumn. In front of the hut there is a seating area with a grill and deck chairs.

In a wonderful, secluded location, high up in the Wildkogel hiking area, at the end of the Mühlbach valley. The hut can be reached via a forest road up to 1km below, the last stretch only for experienced hikers and off-road vehicles (ground clearance). The landlord will be happy to help you with arrival and departure.

Bramberg town with shops 14km, hut where you can buy milk, cheese, butter or drinks and also fortify yourself with a mountain snack, 4km. The area around the hut is ideal for hikers! There are countless marked hiking trails or bike tours. Experienced mountaineers climb the 2,362m high Grosser Rettenstein from the hut. Ibexes can also be spotted here!

Hinter der Hütte Stall, der von Juni-September von den Kühen auf der Alm benutzt wird. Neben der Hütte ist eine kleine Teichanlage vom Vermieter. The hut is in a wonderful, secluded location and is in absolute silence, with a wide view, about 2 km above Lake Preber. It can be reached via a 1.5 km long forest road (in winter with four-wheel drive/chains).

Distances

The 5.5 hectare Prebersee, a paradise for anglers, is 2km away, very nice circular hiking trail around the lake, start of the mountain bike Preber tour from the hut! Serviced hut on the lake with local cuisine 2km, in summer many alpine pastures are also serviced. Next big town Tamsweg 11km. Speiereck ski area 20km.

The cabin has a very cozy living room on the ground floor, which is built around the large stove, which is also used for cooking. Kitchen area with refrigerator, sink, coffee machine. Nearest town Zederhaus 6km or St. Michael im Lungau with shops, restaurants 16km. Großeck-Speiereck ski area 20km. Katschberg 23km. The Ski amadé region (entrance to the Flachauwinkel-Zauchensee-Kleinarl ski area) can be easily reached via the Tauern tunnel in 20 minutes (23km). Ideal starting point for ski tours from the hut. The Riedingtal is a nature park with a healthy high-altitude climate, with managed alpine pastures and quiet mountain lakes in summer. You can take the valley bus to the traffic-calmed Riedingtal. Numerous large and small lakes are located in this attractive nature reserve. Many managed alpine pastures with homemade products invite you to take a break. Here it's time to strap on your skis and head to the slopes, which are directly accessible via the Schattberg ski route! You have a direct connection to all ski lifts in Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang. 270km of slopes, 70 lifts, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, etc. and of course après ski await you! Ideal as a starting point for hikes in the Glemmtal, bike rental, tennis, swimming pool, etc. in the village 1km away. The Saalbach region offers 400km of hiking trails, and those who prefer to pedal can head to the Saalbach Hinterglemm bike paradise on over 400km of well-signposted bike routes and trails. Saalbach Hinterglemm is the largest bike region in Austria. For families there are themed hiking trails, adventure playgrounds, swimming fun and many attractions.

This very well-kept hut has been deliberately left quaint and rustic. You will find a cozy cabin room with a seating area and rocking chair. The heating stove and the open fireplace (wood, and wood briquettes available in winter) ensure a homely atmosphere. The kitchenette has a gas stove, and there is a cool cellar. The bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed. Hygienic outhouse accessible from outside (always emptied when cleaned). Lighting using battery-powered LED lamps. Furniture safe available! In front of the hut there is a fountain and a small stream. In the garden there is a fireplace and a brick garden grill, as well as seating and deck chairs. Enjoy the view of the center of Saalbach, the opposite side of the mountain and the Glemmtal from the large wooden relaxation cradle for 2 people! Let yourself be pampered: the price includes use of the wellness area in the owner's apartment building 400m away. Here you will find a sauna, infrared loungers and a place to charge batteries. This rustic hut is completely isolated and in a very quiet location with a wonderful view of St. Michael in Lungau. Access is approx. 700m below, then a dirt road (access is possible for experienced off-roaders depending on the weather). The landlord will help you with your luggage. There is a ravine behind the hut.
