Position

The alpine hut is located together with a few temporarily inhabited huts above the municipality of Maria Alm, in the middle of an alpine area. Situated on a plateau, you have a fantastic view of the Steinernes Meer and Hochkönig mountain ranges. The alpine hut can be reached directly via a 5km long farm track (gravel road). 

Distances

Maria Alm 8 km. There are grocery stores, restaurants and various leisure activities. For a leisurely shopping trip, Saalfelden is recommended at 13 km. The nearest inn is 5 km away. Swimming pool and tennis courts are around 9 km away, golf is 10 km away. The alpine hut is an ideal starting point for hiking the grassy mountains around the Hundstein or the Steinernes Meer. There are also great tours for mountain bikers in the area around Maria Alm.

Furnishing

Ground floor: The heart of the hut is the spacious living room, which offers space for cooking and baking together on the wood or gas stove, as well as for eating and getting together. Kitchen area with wood stove, oven, 2-burner gas stove, running water. 2 bedrooms, 1 toilet. The shower (hot water via gas instantaneous water heater) and the 2nd toilet are accessible from the side through a separate entrance. Cool cellar for groceries. First floor: Triple room (an additional person/child would have space here on a shorter 4th mattress). A photovoltaic system on the roof generates electricity so that there is light. (No sockets). In front of the hut there is a terrace with a sunny seating area, deck chairs and a grill. The rustic alpine hut, with individual accents that are reminiscent of earlier alpine life, invites you to relax and unwind and is therefore an ideal holiday home for those seeking peace and quiet, families and nature lovers. Please bring your own bed linen and towels.
