Position

Die Hütte liegt in einem kleinen Hüttendorf, in wunderbarer Almlandschaft. Göriach ist bekannt für ein wunderschönes und vor allem sehr sonniges Gebirgstal mit bäuerlichem, dörflichem Charakter. Wanderer und Bergsteiger finden hier das ersehnte Naturerlebnis. Der Alpenverein hat Göriach nun sogar in die Riege der „Bergsteigerdörfer“ aufgenommen. Hier ist das Bewusstsein über den Einklang zwischen Natur und Mensch noch lebendig und man respektiert natürliche Grenzen. Die Hütte liegt am Fuße des Hochgollings, dem mit 2862m höchsten Berg der Niederen Tauern.

Serviced hut in the village. The nearest larger towns with shops, swimming pool, tennis, etc. are Mariapfarr in 12km or Tamsweg in 15km. Wonderful hikes or bike rides along the mountain stream to waterfalls and up to small lakes and to the AV refuge hut! 

Furnishing

The cabin is simply and rustically furnished. Living room with seating and wood stove for cooking and heating, one bedroom with 3 beds. First floor: storage room, where up to 4 people can be accommodated. No electricity, solar light, solar cell phone charging station. Diagonally opposite is the small, private bathing cabin with shower (solar boiler 120 litres, solar light) and outhouse.

Next town St. Veit with swimming pool, tennis, shops, etc. 10km, access by car to the hut via 2.5km forest road. Böndlsee or Goldeggersee each 15km. Homemade schnapps available on site!

Cabin lounge with comfortable seating and integrated kitchen with wood stove, oven, plenty of crockery, exit to the terrace. Two double rooms, 1 room with bunk bed and single bed, small bathroom with shower and toilet. Cool storage room for food in the basement, radio, heating and hot water with wood stove, solar power (12 volts) for light. Covered terrace seating area in front of the cabin with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. Gas refrigerator in the basement (if required). Ideal starting point for hikes around the Wildkogel, serviced hut 800m above (open in summer high season), in summer the 4km long mountain go-kart track ends 800m above the hut at the middle station. Fun for young and old! Zoom through the Kitzbühel Alps using only gravity and safely secured by braking. Town of Neukirchen 6km: train station, shopping, swimming pool, tennis, bike rental, horse riding. Own fish pond (fishing for a fee) 50m. Owner's inn 3km. Enjoy a bacon snack with home-made schnapps while your little ones learn where milk comes from, how to feed cows and collect fresh eggs.

The small hut is located about 9km above Lake Ossiach, on the Gerlitzen Alpe, surrounded by forest and meadow, absolutely quiet and isolated. The hut can be reached by car up to 400m away, in summer you could drive directly there in an off-road vehicle, otherwise you have to walk to the hut.

Bodensdorf 9km, Gerlitzen summit 3km, Ossiachersee 9km, Sepplhütte (serviced) 400m, tip: Seppenhütten circular hiking trail (walking time approx. 3:20)! The excursion destinations Affenberg, Finsterbach waterfalls or the Landskron castle ruins on the western shore of the Ossiachersee are excursion destinations for the whole family. There is also an adventure park on the Gerlitzen with over 160 exciting stations! Many marked hiking and mountain bike routes in the area!

The small hut has one room with a seating area, a fold-out couch, a very well-equipped kitchenette with an electric stove, oven, wood-burning stove, coffee machine, kettle, and plenty of dishes.
