Position

The hut is very sunny, absolutely quiet, with a wonderful view, in the middle of the skiing and hiking area on the Loferer Alm. In winter, you can reach it by cable car and then by chairlift and a slight incline (luggage transport with the hut owner) or non-skiers can walk 1km to the hut after the cable car. In summer, you can drive directly there in your own car (1x toll). In summer, the cows are on the mountain pasture and the landlord comes by twice a day to milk them.

The Durlassboden reservoir is only 3km away. The spring water is over 20 degrees in midsummer and offers wonderful refreshment for splashing around, swimming or pedal boating. The Fageralm ski area is a member of ski amadé (one ski pass for over 760km of slopes and 270 cable cars and lifts). The Fageralm is connected to the other ski areas by a free ski bus. Directly in Forstau, on the Fageralm, you will find 7 lifts with 15km of slopes.

The Trattenbachtal can be reached via the Salzach Valley. In Neukirchen you drive north and come to the Kitzbühel Alps. Here, between lush alpine meadows and small mountain streams, lies the beautiful alpine pasture.
