The Loferer Alm ski area (46km of slopes) is 15km away, Tiroler Steinplatte (32km of slopes) 18km away. Shops 7.5km away in Unken. Inn 200m, toboggan run nearby, long cross-country ski runs from the hut, countless hiking and biking trails to gorges or caves from the hut! Bad Reichenhall thermal baths 17km away, mountain bike rental 7.5km away. The house is the ideal starting point for trips to Salzburg, neighboring Tyrol or Bavaria!

This hut is located above the village, next to a farm, in the middle of the Salzburg Sportwelt Amadé, with a beautiful view of Radstadt and the Dachstein Mountains, sunny and quiet.

Distances

The lifts of the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski area (member of Ski amadé) can be reached from the hut via a slope. Ski area and ski schools 1km by ski (inclined route) or 3km by car, Obertauern ski area about 15 minutes by car (seasonal operation until the beginning of May!), Tauern cross-country ski run 2km, 6km long illuminated toboggan run passes under the hut. In the town (3km) you will find a bus, train station, shops, swimming pool, tennis, golf course, riding stables. Hiking, riding and cycling trails directly in front of the hut. Swimming lake 10km. In the middle of the family-friendly Fageralm ski and hiking area, next to the FOR-SBG hut, with a wonderful view of the Dachstein panorama. The Fageralm ski area is a member of ski amadé (one ski pass for over 760km of slopes and 270 cable cars and lifts). The Fageralm is connected to the other ski areas by a free ski bus. Directly in Forstau, on the Fageralm you will find 7 lifts with 15km of slopes.

Distances

The hut is located directly on the ski slope and in the alpine pasture and hiking area. In winter, access by ski lift (chair and drag lift) and descent to the hut or footpath from the chair lift 1.5 km. Luggage transport (passenger transport also possible on request) by the landlord with a skidoo. Tobogganing possible from the hut, serviced hut 150m. In summer, accessible by car, ideal starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains. Shopping, horse riding, tennis, golf, horse-drawn sleigh rides, etc. in the valley near the towns of Forstau and Radstadt, 10 - 14 km away.

Position

The hut is very close to the Austrian border, in Bavaria, in the middle of the alpine pasture, in the Winklmoosalm/Steinplatte skiing and hiking area. (14 lifts, 44km of slopes). You can leave your car in the car park in Seegatterl and from there take the cable car up to the Winklmoosalm, or take your own car (4km driveway). It is then about 650m from the Winklmoosalm car park to the hut. The hut owner will help with luggage transport. In summer, there is access to the alpine pasture.
