Position

The hut is ideally located for both winter and summer sports enthusiasts! Around 8 km south of Uttendorf in the Salzach Valley, in the beautiful Salzburg region, between the regions of Kitzbühel and Zell am See. The alpine hut is located near a sparsely populated alpine hut, otherwise isolated, by a small stream.

Weißsee ski area (glacier lifts up to 2,600m with 18km of groomed slopes, 7 lifts) 5km, ski bus stop about 400m below the hut. Kaprun/Zell am See ski area 28km. The new Kaprun-Maiskogel-Kitzsteinhorn cable car takes you directly to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area in 9km. Kitzbühel ski area (entrance Hollersbach) 20km. The nearest place where you can find shops and restaurants is Uttendorf 8km, walking paths from the house, swimming pond 8km, tennis 8km. The area is an El Dorado for cyclists!

Furnishing

In this hut you live on the upper floor. The basement has been converted for agricultural use when the hut owners are on the mountain pasture in the autumn and animals live in the neighboring stable. You are alone in the house. On the upper floor you will find the hut living room with a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, wood stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, satellite TV. Tiled bathroom with shower and toilet, 3 double rooms. Central heating with wood. In front of the hut there is a meadow, forest and a small stream. Garden grill, deck chairs and garden seating available.

Position

This rustic hut is completely isolated and in a very quiet location with a wonderful view of St. Michael in Lungau. Access is approx. 700m below, then a dirt road (access is possible for experienced off-roaders depending on the weather). The landlord will help you with your luggage. There is a ravine behind the hut.

St. Michael with shops, inns, swimming pool, tennis 1km. St. Michael is the ideal starting point for hikes or bike tours through the Lungau, to mountain lakes, side valleys and managed alpine pastures. Golf course 3km.

Furnishing

The hut is very lovingly and homely furnished. Ground floor: Hut parlor with seating area, couch, fireplace. Kitchen with wood stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, sink, pantry. Toilet, bathroom with shower. First floor: 1 double room with balcony and view of the gorge, 1 double room with couch (extra bed) if required, 1 four-bed room with bunk beds. From the first floor exit to the outside and to the terrace with seating and grill. Alpine wellness: In the garden there is a wooden-clad bathtub and a wood stove where you can heat the water. Enjoy the view of the town while you splash around in the warmth! In the former hay store there is a hobby room with table tennis table, wuzzler, darts, ideal for rainy days! Photovoltaic system for light and power for small devices (mobile phone, laptop) or electricity with generator if required. Next to the hut there are also the remains of an old castle ruin.

The hut is located in the middle of the hiking area, in the sunny Lungau, in the rear Murtal, just 1.5 hours from the source of the Mur. The quiet location is ideal for families, there are 2 alpine huts next door, otherwise it is a secluded location.

Distances

Next town Muhr 12.5km, Sticklerhütte 1.5km, Sankt Michael 24.5km. Rotgüldensee 8km. The hut is ideally located for hiking and biking. Every day to a different peak, a serviced hut or a mountain lake directly from the hut. Here, Austria's second longest river meanders along picturesque meanders through the high valley to the Murursprung at 1,989m, where crystal-clear spring water bubbles out of the mountain. You can now climb to the Murtörl or experienced climbers can climb through rocky terrain to the Schmalzscharte (2,444m). From the hut you can go on tours around the Schöderhorn and even into the Großarltal. The Mur cycle path has its first stage here: from the Murursprung it goes comfortably downhill, through forests, past mountain lakes, around 14.5km out to Muhr, and you can return comfortably with the valley bus! Come along with your e-bike! The Sticklerhütte, which is open in summer, has an e-bike charging station!

The hut was newly built in 2016 and has on the ground floor: large, cozy living room with seating area, sofa bed, fireplace for cooking and heating, dining table and kitchenette with sink. 1 shower, 1 toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms, each with a double and single bed. In the anteroom there is a couch that can be pulled out for 2 people if required. Heating with wood stove, hot water with bath stove, solar power. Basement: cool storage cellar for food, refrigerator. Seating area in front of the hut, grill. We ask that you do not smoke in the hut.

The farmhouse is located on a sunny slope, above the village of Viehhofen, at the end of a 1km long forest path. Chains required in winter. 

Distances

Place for shopping in Viehhofen 2km. Ski bus stop 1km. Entry to the Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski circus at the Schönleitenbahn 4km away. Experienced skiers can ski from the ski area (from piste 68/Hecherhütte) on a 1km deep snow slope to the house. Ski school 2km. In summer, ideal starting point for long hikes or bike tours. Hinterglemm outdoor pool 10km, Zell am See 9km.

You live on the ground floor and first floor, where you have your own entrance at the back of the house. The landlord lives in the basement (on a slope). The hut, made of natural stone, is in a wonderfully quiet location surrounded by meadows. It is not far from the village, but still in the middle of nature, with a wonderful, wide view of the Bischofsmütze, Gosaukamm, Dachstein and Tennengebirge!

Nearest town St. Martin am Tennengebirge with shops, bakery, restaurants 4km. Seepark natural adventure pool with water slide, children's playground, restaurant and 6,700m² water surface in the town! The hut is an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours, many alpine pastures and huts invite you to take a break! In winter the hut is also ideally located: St. Martin drag lifts 4km, Dachstein-West ski region 7km, Snow-space Flachau 15km (15min).

The hut is in a very quiet, secluded location, with a wonderful view, near the Prebersee nature reserve in Lungau. From the end of February to mid-May, access via the 2km forest path is closed. The hut can only be reached on foot during this time.

Distances

The 5.5 hectare Prebersee, a paradise for anglers, is 2.5 km away. Tip: circular hiking trail around the lake, mountain bike Preber tour, extensive cross-country skiing tours, tobogganing, ski tours. Serviced hut on the lake with local cuisine 2 km away, in summer many alpine pastures are also serviced. The nearest large town is Tamsweg 10 km away. Speiereck or Aineck ski areas 20 km away.

This hut is located in the middle of the Postalm between Abtenau and Strobl on Lake Wolfgang. On an alpine meadow, in a sunny, secluded location. The neighboring huts are about 200m away. The hut can be reached up to 200m via a toll road. As of 2024: Winter from Strobl € 10.00/person € 5.00/child or from Abtenau € 17.00/car. Summer from Strobl € 17.00 per car or from Abtenau € 13.00/car. In winter: the toll is refunded when you buy a lift ticket. In winter access up to 200m, in summer you can drive the last 200m to the hut via a forest path/meadow path.

Nearest town Abtenau 15km or Strobl on Lake Wolfgangsee 15km. Postalm ski area with ski school, fun park, ski rental, high-altitude trails (up to 15km long!), 8 lifts and 20km of groomed slopes within 1.5km. Leave your car behind: free ski bus service! The Postalm is particularly popular with families, and is also ideal for cross-country skiers and ski tourers! In summer, there are circular hiking trails, the via ferrata in the Postalm Gorge, mountain bike tours, swimming under the waterfall or trips to one of the numerous managed huts and to the Salzkammergut. Lake Wolfgangsee can be reached by car in 30 minutes. Fresh farm products are available within 1.5km in summer.
