The hut is very lovely and comfortably furnished and has on the ground floor: large hut room with seating area, high chair on request, open, fully equipped kitchen with wood stove, oven, gas stove (2 burners), tiled stove with glazed fire door, cozy reading corner with 2 Lotter beds (extra beds), satellite TV/radio. Pantry, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, toilet with washbasin. Stairs to the upper floor, where there is an open attic room, from which you can get to the 3 bedrooms (1x large double room, 2 small attic rooms - 1x French bed 140cm wide, 1 x 2 single beds). Smoking is not permitted in the hut. The romantic fire in the living room provides cozy warmth, solar power, emergency power generator, natural refrigerator in the well in front of the hut. Carport for 1 car available. In front of the hut there is a garden with seating area, barbecue area, well and a wide view over the alpine pasture. Small pond about 80m next door.

The hut is located in the Mölltal, on a slope, very quiet, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park with its over two hundred 3000m peaks. Access via a dead end road that ends directly in the carport at the house, access to the house is covered. Wide glacier fields, deep green mountain lakes and impressive waterfalls characterize this beautiful cultural landscape.

Großkirchheim 2km, here you will find shops, several restaurants, a natural outdoor pool, a beach volleyball court, tennis, and a climbing tower. There is 1 lift in Großkirchheim in 2km, otherwise Heiligenblut 15km. Here you can expect 55km of slopes and 12 lifts, a ski school. Lienz 27km, Mölltal glacier 40km (accessible 11 months a year). Großglockner Resort Kals- Matrei ski area with 45km of slopes and 17 modern lifts in 55km. Inn 200m. 2.5km long cross-country ski run in Großkirchheim. Nature hiking trails from the hut, beautiful bathing lakes (e.g. Tristacher See near Lienz) 30km. The family-friendly Glockner cycle path (R8) runs through the Mölltal valley on a length of 80km from Heiligenblut via Großkirchheim to Möllbrücke. Heiligenblut is 15 km away at the foot of Austria's highest mountain: the Grossglockner at 3,798 m. Here you can experience the most beautiful hikes and the most scenic tours in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Enjoy the gigantic view of the mountain massif.

The nearest town is Prebl, 6 km away. The historic town of Wolfsberg is 10 km away and has numerous attractions, shops, inns and restaurants. The holiday region is known for its mild climate and many sunny days! Marked hiking trails near the hut, including Saualpe, Koralpe and Klippitztörl, make you want to go hiking every day and can be reached from 20 km away. 190 km of marked cycling and bike tours, one of the most beautiful outdoor pools, a sports centre, golf, horse riding and tennis round off the leisure activities on offer in Wolfsberg. The 2 family ski areas Klippitztörl (20 km away) or Koralpe (30 km away) offer 45 km of slopes in total. The landlord will be happy to organise a hunting experience for you on request!

Position

The hut is very close to the Austrian border, in Bavaria, in the middle of the alpine pasture, in the Winklmoosalm/Steinplatte skiing and hiking area. (14 lifts, 44km of slopes). You can leave your car in the car park in Seegatterl and from there take the cable car up to the Winklmoosalm, or take your own car (4km driveway). It is then about 650m from the Winklmoosalm car park to the hut. The hut owner will help with luggage transport. In summer, there is access to the alpine pasture.

Next town with shops, inns Reit im Winkl 9km, ski area with ski school in the immediate vicinity, also over 35km of cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails, which are stroller and family friendly in summer.
