Position

The hut is in a wonderful, secluded location, on the slope above Kitzbühel, right in the Kitzbüheler Horn hiking area. The location is ideal for hikers and those seeking peace and quiet. Access by car via the toll road, the car remains on the road above, there are two options: either directly 10 minutes from above or 100 meters in front, then a steep meadow path down to the hut.

Distances

Alpine pasture area directly in front of the hut. The next hut with a service is the Alpenhaus (Hornbahn mountain station) 2km away. Enjoy the wonderful panorama from the Kitzbühel Alps over the Großvenediger to the 3,798m high Großglockner! The Alpenhaus is a popular destination in conjunction with the Alpine flower garden. A special nature experience is the new Karstweg, the hiking trail for the soul and the 300-meter-long kids' climbing trail. A hiking trail leads over the Trattenbachmulde to the Hornköpflhütte 4km away, where the Hornköpflsee reservoir is located. Kitzbühel 8km.

Furnishing

The hut has a rustic living room with a seating area and a wood stove with an oven. 2 bedrooms with a double bed and a bunk bed. Solar power for light. In front of the hut there is a sun terrace with a wonderful view, a grill and a seating area. Water in the well in front of the hut, a camping shower in the garden. Cows and calves graze around the hut in summer.

Additional costs on site subject to minor changes

Local tax currently € 1.80/person/night, bed linen € 7/set can be rented. Deposit for toll card € 150.
