Here on a sunny plateau there is a mild healing climate and the area is known for numerous sunny days! Regional cuisine and varied culture ensure an unforgettable holiday experience. Thanks to its central location, St. Veit is also an ideal starting point for day trips to Hohenwerfen Castle and the nearby Eisriesenwelt, the Celtic town of Hallein with its show mine, the Liechtenstein Gorge, the Mozart city of Salzburg, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Krimml Waterfalls.

Access by car via the developed road to Falkert am See, where there is a public car park. Hike to the hut 2km (approx. 30 minutes) through cow pastures. Luggage transport on arrival and departure by the landlord.

Distances

Kolbnitz with shops, tennis, ice skating rink, swimming pool, riding stables, cross-country ski trails, drag lift 2km. From the town, the Kreuzeckbahn cable car takes you over the 2,237m high Schoberboden to the mountain station. This trip is the starting point for wonderful hikes to reservoirs and managed alpine pastures with fantastic views. The Grossglockner-Mölltal cycle path passes nearby. Entry point for a rafting tour on the Möll is nearby. Mölltal glacier with skiing fun from October to May 25km. Shuttle bus to the glacier in the town! Millstätter See 19km.
