Nearest town Kals in East Tyrol 7km, Matrei 27km, Lienz 38km, ski area Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei with 45km of slopes and 17 modern facilities 7km away. The ski area is the largest in East Tyrol and particularly ideal for families. Cross-country skiers will find wonderful tours around Kals that have received the Tyrolean cross-country ski trail seal of approval. The hut is also the ideal starting point for ski tours in the Glockner Group or Schober Group. Do you dare to take the royal tour of the Großglockner? In summer, you can easily get to the best starting points for long hikes by gondola. Between Kals and Matrei, Austria's highest mountains await you: the Großglockner at 3,798m and the Großvenediger at 3,674m. Many managed alpine pastures, a water viewing path, endless hiking trails, mountain lakes and a breathtaking panorama await you. The gondola takes you up to the top in a relaxed manner, even on your bike, and you can look forward to the many trails and downhill! 600m below the hut is the Lucknerhaus, an inn with traditional delicacies and international specialties. The hut was renovated in 2022 and lovingly and tastefully renovated. Ground floor: cozy living room with seating area, small couch, kitchenette with wood stove, oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator, coffee machine. 1 shower, 1 toilet. 1 double room, 1 room with bunk bed, infrared cabin. Top floor: storage room with 6 beds. Heating with wood stove and infrared radiator. Bathroom underfloor heating. If the temperature drops significantly below zero degrees, the water may no longer come out of the tap. Then there is bottled drinking water on site and the domestic water would have to be melted from snow like in the past. In front of the hut there is a garden with a seating area and a barbecue area with 2 large barbecue barrels and a wonderful view. In spring and autumn, white deer often graze right in front of the hut! This special feature only exists at the foot of the Großglockner near Kals!

High up, in a wonderful alpine location, in the middle of the Sexten Dolomites in South Tyrol, there are 6 luxurious chalets to rent in addition to a serviced hut. Here you can take a deep breath and recharge your batteries, enjoy a powerful natural paradise with a wide view. Your car stays in the valley in a free, reserved parking space and you float up into the mountain landscape in just 10 minutes by cable car (train ticket not included in the price). Once you're at the top, we'll take care of your luggage and your chalet is just 300m away. A perfect place for people seeking peace and quiet, families, hikers and skiers! You can find the opening times on the cable car website! If you arrive late in winter, you won't be able to reach our chalets. Your chalet is also right in the Rotwand hiking area, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites. The exterior facade is made of local wood, the steps are made of stone and the large windows reflect nature. Bathroom with shower and private sauna, sun terrace. First floor: double room, triple room with 3 single beds, shower/toilet, sun terrace. Hairdryer, towels, shower gel available. The hut is in a wonderful, quiet, secluded location, surrounded by meadows, at the foot of the Riedingtal. Depending on the snow conditions, access is up to 200m, in summer up to 50m, the last 20m is a steep climb to the hut.

Ski-in, ski-out, just as you wish. The hut is in the middle of the Wildkogel ski and hiking area, in the far west of Salzburg, very sunny, quiet, in a completely secluded location. In winter, take the Smaragdbahn from Bramberg or the Neukirchen gondola and a short descent to the hut (not very suitable for non-skiers). In winter, you can park your car for free in Bramberg directly opposite the Smaragdbahn (approx. 200m away). In summer, you can drive your own car from Bramberg along a 15km forest path (1x barrier fee per week, €60 per car) to the hut, where there is a car parking space in the pasture area (fenced, but without liability) or you can also take the gondola and walk about 20 minutes down to the hut.

Piste and ski area right outside the door, ski school on site by the gondola lift! In winter there are a few managed huts in the ski area in the immediate vicinity. The longest toboggan run in the world goes from the Wildkogel to the town of Bramberg, an incredible 14km and with an altitude difference of 1300m. There is also an evening toboggan run here 3 times a week (not included in the ski pass) and the run is illuminated until 10pm. In summer it is an ideal starting point for long hikes or bike tours around the Wildkogel area, into the numerous side valleys and through the Hohe Tauern National Park with waterfalls, mountain lakes and many managed alpine pastures. The hut is the ideal starting point for e-bike tours or bike and hike tours. There are countless ways to ride and hike the surrounding mountains, peaks and side valleys. The nearest places for shopping are Neukirchen or Bramberg (in winter) can be reached by gondola lift or in summer by car to Bramberg in 15km.

The hut is located above Kitzbühel, directly in the Kitzbüheler Horn ski area, in the Trattalmmulde. In winter, travel with the Kitzbüheler Hornbahn to the "Alpenhaus" mountain station, from here a short descent on skis to the hut or you can easily take the Alpenhaus chairlift down into the hollow and walk only about 100m to the hut. You park your car in the lift car park (fees apply). The location is ideal for sporty skiers but also for families and the hut is also easily accessible for non-skiers. Tip: You can order a piste machine from the mountain railways in advance to take your luggage from the Alpenhaus to the hut. Costs as of 2022: 1 hour €163 (approx. 40 minutes are charged, so €125) and €0.42/kg each (1 suitcase 20kg therefore €8.40).

Ski area directly in front of the hut, children's slope (baby lift, drag lift, conveyor belt) directly below the hut and easily accessible on foot. Next serviced hut Alpenhaus (chair lift top station). Kitzbühel 7km (accessible in winter by cable car during operating hours).
