The hut is located 4.5 km above Frantschach/St. Gertraud, in a forest clearing, completely isolated, at the end of a private road.

Frantschach 4.5km, Wolfsberg 9km, Weinebene 20km, St. Andrä bathing lake 25km, Wolfsberg outdoor pool 12km. Walking paths from the hut, small stream under the hut. The Lavanttal offers more than 1000km of marked, family-friendly hiking trails and is considered an Eldorado for mountain bikers!

The hut has on the ground floor: small kitchen with electric stove, oven, wood stove (central heating), refrigerator, coffee machine, living room with seating area, satellite TV, bathroom with shower/toilet. First floor: 1 triple room, 1 double room with terrace. Next to the hut is a wellness hut with sauna/infrared cabin, cold water shower, relaxation room and upstairs an arbor with a large terrace and grill. We ask you not to smoke in the hut!

Position

Close to the Klippitztörl ski and hiking area, surrounded by several holiday cottages. Sunny, on a slight slope. 

Distances

The Klippitztörl is just an hour's drive from Graz or Klagenfurt. In winter, the family ski area offers 6 lifts, a ski school and a few rustic huts to stop off at. It is only 250m from the hut to the slopes. In summer, this is the ideal starting point for hikes through the forests full of mushrooms and berries. The climb up the Geierkogel, Hohenwart or Zirbitzkogel (2100 to 2400m) is an experience that lets you forget the stress of everyday life. Summer toboggan run at the Hohenwart chairlift in 700m, adventure climbing garden and kiddy park 1km. Bad Sankt Leonhard 14km, town of Wolfsberg 20km.

You live in the front part of one of a total of 3 semi-detached houses. Here you are completely separated spatially and have your own entrance. Two guesthouses within about 4 km, shopping facilities in Oberdrauburg. Ideal starting point for long hikes through forests, to crystal-clear mountain lakes and raised bogs with interesting flora.

The nearest town is Prebl, 6 km away. The historic town of Wolfsberg is 10 km away and has numerous attractions, shops, inns and restaurants. The holiday region is known for its mild climate and many sunny days! Marked hiking trails near the hut, including Saualpe, Koralpe and Klippitztörl, make you want to go hiking every day and can be reached from 20 km away. 190 km of marked cycling and bike tours, one of the most beautiful outdoor pools, a sports centre, golf, horse riding and tennis round off the leisure activities on offer in Wolfsberg. The 2 family ski areas Klippitztörl (20 km away) or Koralpe (30 km away) offer 45 km of slopes in total. The landlord will be happy to organise a hunting experience for you on request!
