Sunny and quiet, in the midst of the most beautiful natural landscape in Austria, not far from the ski area and directly in the hiking and biking paradise of the Hohe Tauern National Park with its over two hundred 3000-meter peaks. Wide glacier fields, deep green mountain lakes and impressive waterfalls characterize this beautiful cultural landscape.

Nearest town Kals in East Tyrol 7km, Matrei 27km, Lienz 38km, ski area Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei with 45km of slopes and 17 modern facilities 7km away. The ski area is the largest in East Tyrol and particularly ideal for families. Cross-country skiers will find wonderful tours around Kals that have received the Tyrolean cross-country ski trail seal of approval. The hut is also the ideal starting point for ski tours in the Glockner Group or Schober Group. Do you dare to take the royal tour of the Großglockner? In summer, you can easily get to the best starting points for long hikes by gondola. Between Kals and Matrei, Austria's highest mountains await you: the Großglockner at 3,798m and the Großvenediger at 3,674m. Many managed alpine pastures, a water viewing path, endless hiking trails, mountain lakes and a breathtaking panorama await you. The gondola takes you up to the top in a relaxed manner, even on your bike, and you can look forward to the many trails and downhill! 600m below the hut is the Lucknerhaus, an inn with traditional delicacies and international specialties. The hut was renovated in 2022 and lovingly and tastefully renovated. Ground floor: cozy living room with seating area, small couch, kitchenette with wood stove, oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator, coffee machine. 1 shower, 1 toilet. 1 double room, 1 room with bunk bed, infrared cabin. Top floor: storage room with 6 beds. Heating with wood stove and infrared radiator. Bathroom underfloor heating. If the temperature drops significantly below zero degrees, the water may no longer come out of the tap. Then there is bottled drinking water on site and the domestic water would have to be melted from snow like in the past. In front of the hut there is a garden with a seating area and a barbecue area with 2 large barbecue barrels and a wonderful view. In spring and autumn, white deer often graze right in front of the hut! This special feature only exists at the foot of the Großglockner near Kals!

Your car stays in the valley in a free, reserved parking space and you float up into the mountain landscape in just 10 minutes by cable car (train ticket not included in the price). Once you're at the top, we'll take care of your luggage and your chalet is just 300m away. A perfect place for people seeking peace and quiet, families, hikers and skiers! You can find the opening times on the cable car website! If you arrive late in winter, you won't be able to reach our chalets. In summer we offer transport in our off-road vehicle, at a cost of around 80-100 euros.

Your chalet is also right in the Rotwand hiking area, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites. The 6 chalets nestle perfectly into the landscape thanks to their sustainable construction. The exterior facade is made of local wood, the steps are made of stone and the large windows reflect nature. Ground floor: living room with couch (sofa bed if required), kitchen with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, salt, pepper, sugar, oil. Bathroom with shower and private sauna, sun terrace. First floor: double room, triple room with 3 single beds, shower/toilet, sun terrace. Hairdryer, towels, shower gel available. Baby bed, high chair available, 2 satellite TVs, WiFi, shoe dryer available. Pamper yourself with a massage directly in the chalet or on your sun terrace. Von der Hütte weg können Sie die Talabfahrt nach Neukirchen/Neuhaus nehmen – von dort Gratisskibusverbindung zur Gondelbahn Neukirchen oder gehen ab Hütte zur Mittelstation (800m) hinauf und fahren nach Bramberg ab. In summer, the 4km long mountain go-kart track ends 800m above the hut at the middle station. Fun for young and old! Zoom through the Kitzbühel Alps using only gravity and well secured by braking.

The hut is very lovingly furnished. Ground floor: kitchen-living room with wood-burning stove, oven, electric stove (2 plates), coffee machine, kettle, refrigerator, radio and seating area. Cool food. Cozy hut parlor (non-smoking) with seating area and couch. Bathroom with sauna and shower. Toilet. Underfloor heating. First floor: 3 double rooms. Heating with wood-burning stove and solar. Honey from the hut's own beekeeping can be bought in the hut! Sunny seating area with grill in front of the hut, wonderful view and absolute peace and quiet! Bed linen provided. Please do not smoke in the hut!

During a summer holiday in the Wildkogel Arena, which is located between the Kitzbühel Alps and the Hohe Tauern National Park, numerous leisure activities invite you to discover, experience and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
On varied hikes of varying difficulty levels, you can get to know the beautiful landscape of our holiday region, the Hohe Tauern National Park, in a sporty way, while looking at the many impressive peaks of the Hohe Tauern. The incomparable panorama of the Wildkogel is perfectly showcased on the panorama and slide path. But leisurely cyclists and mountain bike enthusiasts will also get their money's worth in the Wildkogel Arena. It's up to you whether you explore the area on your own by bike or take part in a guided mountain bike tour. It's also really exciting on the 4 km long mountain cart route. In our holiday region, a wide WildkogelActive program is offered for young and old, with something for every taste and every weather.
After a great day of hiking or biking, you can look forward to numerous restaurants on the mountain and in the valleys during your summer holiday in the Wildkogel Arena, which will prepare delicious Pinzgau dishes in a cozy atmosphere. And the Kogel-Mogel Adventure Arena is ready for your children: an exciting wooden playground right at the mountain station of the Wildkogelbahn.

The exclusive chalet is located together with 4 other huts in Tyrol, in the Sellrain Valley, in the Stubai Alps, between Sellrain and Kühtai. Sunny and quiet, above the road and the stream.Distances

Gries im Sellrain town centre 1km. Here you will find restaurants and shops. Innsbruck town centre 17km. Ski bus stop to Kühtai, 12km away, directly below the hut! Austria's highest ski area with 44km of slopes offers snowboarders and skiers fun and action from December to early May! Night skiing, ski school, serviced huts! Toboggan run nearby! The hut is also ideally located for ski tourers - there are 50 ski tours in the Sellrain valley, several of which are at over 3000m and have guaranteed snow until May! Natural waterfall for ice climbing nearby! In addition to endless mountain bike routes, there are via ferratas, rafting tours and canyoning in summer. Natural waterfall nearby! Ideal starting point for hikes through the Stubai Alps, to mountain lakes and serviced huts. Swimming lake 35km. Indoor/outdoor pool 11km.

The chalet is as good as new and very comfortably furnished. Ground floor: spacious, 44m2 living room with dining area with exit to the terrace with seating and grill, comfortable couch corner, fireplace, satellite TV and open, perfectly equipped kitchen with electric stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, egg cooker, coffee machine. 1 double room, shower/WC. First floor: 4 double rooms, 2 shower/WC, basement: comfortable double room with shower/WC. In front of the chalet there is a private, secluded wellness area with pine sauna, shower and whirlpool. Underfloor heating, WiFi and satellite TV are available in the house. Your car is safe from snow, ice or heat in one of the 5 underground parking spaces directly in the basement. We ask that you do not smoke in the house.
